Completion of training with specialists of the State subordinate institution of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia – the Emergency Management Service

From July 29 to August 10, 2019 at the Training Center of the Civil Emergency Service of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine for the first time there was a training of rescuers from another country under the curriculum of targeted training courses, namely with specialists of the State Subordinate institution of the Ministry of Internal Affairs - the State Emergency Service. They were involved in rescue works in wells, underground communications, tunnels and mines.

For 72 academic hours, Georgian representatives have theoretically and practically worked out a targeted training course agreed with the leadership of the State Subordinate Institution of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia - the Emergency Management Service.

During the exercise all stages of the rescue operations were discussed at each step, as the specialists - firefighters of Georgia came with a certain amount of knowledge of other countries where they also got training and education.

Hands-on practice was conducted on the training base of the Training Center: climbing wall, fire tower, well, destroyed two-stored building.

Despite the busy schedule of training, the specialists of the State Subordinate Institution of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia – the Emergency Management Services took active part in the life of the Training Center. On August 6, 2019, Georgian representatives participated in the commemorative events to mark the 79th anniversary of the foundation of the Training Center, and a football match with the national team of the Center. The won the match with a 7:5 score, for which the national team of Georgia was awarded with the Sports Cup by the Chief of the Training Center.

On August 10, after successful completion of the tests, Volodymyr Lavryk, the Head of the Training Center, congratulated the specialists on the successful completion of the targeted courses, wished for new professional achievements and further cooperation, and presented pennants of the Training Center to the participants for a good memory.
