Kyiv: Capital rescuers are on a working visit in Romania

Representatives of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, including specialists of the Main Department of the SES of Ukraine in Kyiv, together with employees of the Kyiv Municipal Organization of the Ukraine Red Cross Society, are on a working visit in Romania. Under the Agreement on the Bilateral Cooperation, the Dambovitska Regional Organization of the Romania Red Cross Society invited Ukrainian specialists to participate in joint exercise in order to exchange experience of responce in case of assistance to civilians in emergencies, including premedical assistance.
The gathering began on August 5 and will last until the August 10, and the training camp is located on an open training ground near Tirgovishte town. As part of the exercise, the participants of the gathering are working out the deployment of a field life support camp, conducting search and rescue work in the mountains, involving the search and rescue center and volunteers of the Romania Red Cross. In addition to mastering the algorithm of actions of providing assistance to the population in the case of emergencies, rescuers, together with the Red Cross workers, are developing skills of providing premedical assistance to the victims with traumas of different severity and nature.
Representatives of the Main Department of the SES of Ukraine in Kyiv are grateful to their Romanian colleagues for the opportunity to take practical experience in the field of civil protection and to improve the interaction between the rescuers and the Red Cross members of two countries.
