On July 11, the Ambassador of the Republic of France Isabelle Dumont, in the framework of cooperation and development of France-Ukrainian collaboration, made a working visit to Nizhyn Special Aviation Unit of the SES of Ukraine.
The commander of the unit, Ivan Korobka, presented to Mrs. Isabelle aircrafts that used to eliminate fires, emergencies, and to providing assistance to citizens. He noted that only since the beginning of 2019, aviation has been involved in extinguishing fires in the territory of Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Odesa and Chernihiv regions more than 100 times. Also, 9 sanitary flights were carried out, during which 14 injured and seriously ill patients were transported and 6 search and rescue missions were carried out.
During the meeting, the delegation was presented with prospects of establishing Aviation Security System service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Nizhyn, which will include 55 Airbus helicopters H225, H145, H125 Super Puma models for the Emergency Service, the Border Guards, the National Guard and the National Police.
"This project is quite important and fruitful specialists from both sides worked on it productivly. I am very pleased that French helicopters are already in their places of deployment, they are serviced and save lives", said Isabelle Dumont.
