The vehicle fleet of Uzhgorod fire brigade has been replenished with another modern light fire truck with professional hydraulic equipment, which was received at the expense of the European Union. This project "Joint protection of people and environment through the creation of the Ukrainian-Polish system of prevention and response to the disaster in the Carpathian Euroregion" is being implemented by the Association of Local Self-Government bodies "Euroregion Carpathians - Ukraine" in partnership with the Main Department of the SESU in Lvivska Oblast, the Department of the SESU in Ivano -Frankivska Oblast, the Department of the SESU in Zakarpatska Oblast and Voivodeship Commandant of the State Fire Service in Ryazev with the financial support of the European Union within the framework of the Cross-Border Co-operation Program Poland-Belarus-Ukraine 2014-2020.
On June 21, the Head of the Department of SESU in Zakarpatska Oblast handed over the keys and a package of documents for this AD-2-50 (Iveco Daily 70C15) truck to the rescuers of the 15th State Fire and Rescue Unit of Uzhhorod.
According to Roman Gudak, this modern special-purpose vehicle will enable the SESU firefighters to perform their tasks more efficiently, not only in extinguishing fires in Uzhgorod, but also in eliminating various emergency situations. The tanks of this vehicle can carry 2 tons of water and 120 liters of foaming agent. In addition, it is equipped with ultra-modern professional hydraulic equipment, which will also allow to assist more effectively to affected in traffic accidents or in other emergency situations.
