On June 18,  the grand opening of the exercises "Rescue Days Ukraine 2019" took place on the basis of the training ground of the emergency rescue special forces team of the Main Department of the SESU in Rivne oblast.

The event was attended by Deputy Head of the SESU Ruslan Biloshitsky, representatives of the German Embassy in Ukraine, representatives of the company-manufacturer of equipment "Weber", as well as the Federal Company GIZ.

Ruslan Biloshitsky congratulated those present and noted that to this day the rescuers of the SESU participated in these exercises only as observers and participants. "Now we are starting the first such level exercises in Ukraine, which our specialists will conduct independently as trainers," he said.

The Deputy Head of the SESU also emphasized that conducting the Rescue Days in Ukraine is a great indicator of confidence in the Service, and their result will enable Ukraine to join in conducting such large-scale exercises on an ongoing basis .

Thus, within 4 days, SESU rescuers will be able to improve the level of proffesional training in response to traffic accidents and learn how to work with new emergency rescue equipment by directly working out various crash scenarios in thirteen training sites.

During the opening of the exercises, the transfer of 12 special emergency rescue vehicles for the territorial divisions of SESU was also held. In particular, the heads of Vinnitsa, Donetsk, Zhytomyr, Kyiv, Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Poltava, Ternopil, Khmelnytskyi, Rivne and Cherkasy  SESU garrisons received the keys to new cars.

It should be reminded, that from June 19 to June 22 rescuers prepared many interesting master classes for visitors to the event, as well as various areas for leisure and recreation for both adults and children were arranged at the site.
