Belarus-Ukraine training on cooperation in the case of fire in natural ecosystems in the border area took place in Kyiv Oblast

Recently in Gden village of the Bragin district, Gomel Oblast were held training within the framework of the project "Monitoring, forecasting and extinguishing of fires in natural ecosystems on the border area" within the framework of the program of Territorial cooperation of the Eastern Partnership countries of Belarus-Ukraine, participants of which were representatives of the Main Department of SES of Ukraine in Kyiv Oblast, institutions "Gomel Oblast Department of the Ministry of Emergencies of the Republic of Belarus", State Environmental Research and Development Agency "Polesie State Radioecological Reserve" and others.

The first day of training was familiarized and began with a briefing of the participants of the event, viewing a field camp by representatives of the EU, a safety training brief and in accordance with the scenario, a demonstration of the capabilities of monitoring systems was conducted in the first stage. The next day, all participants in the training from the theoretical block got to the practical stage. According to the plan of exercises, several inputs were received, which resulted the training took place in several locations: the forest fire that took place in the village of Chykalovychi and its spread to the border with Ukraine, the transfer of the flame to a conditional settlement and the evacuation of the population into the field camp, the search for the people who lost near the fire cell and rescuing of people who are on the other side of the river Braginka and who are in danger of fire in the form of smoke.

Clearly and promptly the rescuers of Ukraine and Belarus set up cooperation on fire extinguishing and rescue the citizens and were able to fulfill their functions and tasks as soon as possible.
