On January 28, three fire and rescue vehicles arrived from Scotland to the rescuers of Poltava oblast. These trucks are fully equipped with fire and rescue equipment.
These professional rescue vehicles have been delivered by Scotland rescue organization “SERA” with the assistance of the United Kingdom Rescue Organization (UKRO), which is already the third time arriving to Poltava oblast within the framework of the international development program and conducts not only theoretical but also practical classes with the rescuers of the fire and rescue units of the SES of Ukraine in Poltava oblast.
Gary Benet, who heads the Scottish delegation, said that they actually moved without stops, constantly changing drivers to get to their destination as soon as possible. Already since the first minutes of arrival, the foreign colleagues have examined the existing rescue equipment of Ukrainian rescuers and indicated that it is professional and meets all the requirements of the present day.
These events take place due to the interaction between the Main Department of the SES of Ukraine in Poltava oblast and the UK Rescue Organization (UKRO).
So, in the next few days fire-fighters from Great Britain and Scotland will take part in theoretical and practical trainings in the cities of Poltava, Lubny and Kremenchuk, and already on Friday, February 1, they will evaluate the competition of the units of the SES of Ukraine in Poltava oblast on the elimination of road traffic accidents.
