Every day, the line of demarcation crosses hundreds of citizens. Sometimes, because of the large number of people, queues are created. In the conditions of a sharp deterioration of weather conditions and decrease the temperature of the air, it becomes practically impossible to withstand hours in the queue.
In order to ensure that the procedure for crossing the line of demarcation were as comfortable as possible, on the each of the four checkpoints of entry and exit - "Majorske", "Gnutove", "Novotroits'ke" and "Marinka" – operate 24 hours a day points of providing assistance and heating points. They are alternating representatives of the Main Department of the SES of Ukraine in Donetsk Oblast, who not only provide the necessary assistance to citizens, but also carry out informational and explanatory work on life safety issues. From the rescuers, people receive warm tea, a blanket, as well as useful tips on how to act in the case of an emergency or when an explosive object is detected.
Only for the last day, 57 people calls on to the points for assistance, including 2 children and 21 elderly people. Since the beginning of the operation, 87 297 persons have been registered and provided assistance (6008 children and 16,550 elderly people).
16 personnel from the Main Department of the SES of Ukraine in the Donetsk Oblast are engaged in providing functioning of the points of assistance for the population.
