On November 7, the official transfer ceremony of technical humanitarian aid to rescuers from their colleagues from Singen City (Germany) took place in Kobelyaky Town.
The solemn event was attended by Deputy Head of the Main Department of the SES of Ukraine in Poltava Oblast Yaroslav Lyubetskii, Head of Kobelyaky State District Administration Tamila Shevchenko, chairman of Kobelyaky District Council Volodymyr Kishinsky, representatives of the fire department of Singen City Willy Kayner, Dick Michiel and others.
The transfer of humanitarian aid took place in the framework of an agreement on cooperation between the Kobelyaky district administration, the Rotary Club and the municipality of Singen.
Rescuers of Kobelyaky Town received from the German partners a fire rescue vehicle, based on the Mercedes-Benz chassis with water capacity of 5000 liters and 500 liters capacity for a foam generator, sets of fire fighting clothing, fire helmets, belts and so on.
"I want to thank our foreign colleagues for their support. A fire truck and specialized equipment will help fire fighters to respond emergency situations and to assist affected population more effectively, "said Yaroslav Lyubetsky.
After the official part,the tactical and technical characteristics and capabilities of the fire truck were demonstrated to those present.
Representatives of the SES, local authorities and the German delegation also held a roundtable on further cooperation between two countries.
