Since the beginning of October, 102 future volunteers from 6 united territorial communities have started training in the Donetsk region.
Future volunteer firefighters are taught not only by highly skilled rescuers from the Main Department of SES of Ukraine in Donetsk Oblast. During the 9th and 10th of October, training for future volunteers is carried out by fire and rescue specialists from Poland. In Kramatorsk, volunteers undergo the necessary training, learn to provide medical assistance at the scene of a fire, assist in emergencies, and teach fire safety to children and adults.
So, during the lectures Polish specialists paid a lot of attention to personal communication with volunteers. During the interactive exercises, were found the main motives that motivate people to become volunteers. Guests from Poland were impressed by the great desire of citizens to be useful to their own community and to voluntarily provide fire safety in their native settlements.
After gaining experience, the volunteers will work together with the fire brigade at the fire site. Combined actions of volunteers and fire brigades will be able to provide effective fire prevention, timely provision of medical assistance, rapid response to fires in remote settlements.
