The SESUA team of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine took part in the NATO international programming competition "TIDE Hackaton 2021"

On 12-16 April 2021, NATO's international TIDE Hackaton 2021 programming competition was held online, with representatives from Poland, the United Kingdom, Turkey, the Netherlands, Spain, Germany and Ukraine. Participants solved NATO's tasks using modern information technologies, such as machine learning, artificial intelligence, blockchain, etc.

Six teams from the Ukrainian delegation took part in the competition for prizes:

The SES team was represented by: Vitaliy Dykan, Head of the Shift of the Operational Coordination Center of the Main Department  of the SES of Ukraine in Poltava Oblast, Roman Kalugin, Chief Specialist of the Information Technologies, Information Protection and Electronic Trust Services Department of the Notification, Telecommunications and Information Technologies Department. Oleksiy Korotchuk, Head of the Information Technologies Department of the Center for Operational Communications, Telecommunication Systems and Information Technologies of the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Rivne Oblast.

Thus, for the quality of the proposed technical solution of the tasks, the first 3 places were taken by teams from Ukraine, Turkey and Poland.

The Ukrainian KRAB team has been determined as the absolute winner of the competition!

In the nomination "Spirit of the hackathon", the SESUA team of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine won for the original approach to solving the problem, demonstrating the best understanding of the context of the problems facing NATO.
