Pyrotechnic units of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine carry out daily work to survey the territory of the country, detection, seizure and destruction of explosives from past wars. In the past 24 hours, on April 19, 38 trips were made, during which 125 munitions were found.
Thus, on April 19, pyrotechnics of Chernihiv oblast destroyed in the prescribed manner 3 units of explosive objects from the Second World War, respectively. A 76-mm artillery shell was found by locals in an open area near the village of Kipti the night before. 2 more shells of 122 mm caliber were found by locals near the village of Shestovitsa. During the inspection of the adjacent pyrotechnics areas of the SES, no other dangerous objects were found.
On April 19 pyrotechnics of the State Emergency Service of Mykolayiv oblast, by the controlled detonation, destroyed an artillery shell of 152 mm caliber. A dangerous find in the open during a search for scrap metal was discovered by a resident of the village of Bereznehuvate, as reported by special line 101.
At the same time, in the Zhytomyr oblast, pyrotechnics of the State Emergency Service destroyed three units of explosive devices from the past wars, which were found the day before in the villages of Mykhailivka and Melena, Korosten district. Arrived on call, SES specialists identified the finds as three artillery shells.
In addition, demining work is underway on the liberated territories of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts. Thus, during April 19, units of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Donetsk oblast, where environmental protection is carried out, surveyed 1.34 hectares and 0.02 hectares of water area and identified and seized 8 explosive objects. In total, since the beginning of the year, pyrotechnic units of the State Emergency Service have seized and destroyed 13,983 explosive objects, including 28 aerial bombs.
Therefore, in order to prevent accidents among the population in case of detection of explosives, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine once again appeals to citizens to follow the rules of safe handling of explosives or unknown objects!
