In the Dnipropetrovsk region, rescuers learn to operate the unmanned aerial vehicles

On November 17, on the basis of the training center of the special rescue squad of the Main Department of the State Emergency Service in Dnipropetrovsk oblast, exercises on piloting the unmanned aerial vehicle began.

UAVs today are an alternative for long-term observation and obtaining of a data set that can be used to study natural hazards.

The purpose of the exercises is to properly organize measures to combat fires in forests, obtain detailed and comprehensive information about the operational situation in the area of the fire and its possible spread using high technology, including unmanned aerial vehicles.

The courses are implemented by the Humanitarian Movement NGO within the framework of the UN Peacebuilding and Reconstruction Program.

27 rescuers of Dnipropetrovsk region took part in the exercises on piloting the unmanned aerial vehicles.
