At the Rescue Training Center, practical classes on the disciplines: "Emergency Medicine" and "Medical Training" are conducted by Associate Professor of Industrial Safety and Occupational Safety Galina Telegina and lecturer Roman Yaechnyk.
The purpose of classes: development of practical skills in cadets to provide emergency home care. The training center allows to conduct training and practice practical scenarios in conditions close to real (traffic accidents, falls from a height, etc.).
Testing a practical scenario of traumatic injuries. The car with three passengers was driving on the outskirts of the village, the driver at dusk did not see in time the guy traveling on a bicycle in front of the car. In order not to crush the guy, the driver braked sharply and stopped the car. The cyclist fell when he saw the car riding on him. The driver hit the steering wheel with force, the passenger sitting next to him received a head injury, the second passenger injured his hands, and the cyclist had a knee injury.
You (8 cadets) arrived to the scene before the arrival of medics (Ambulance, emergency medical assistance), put on medical gloves, masks (personal safety), checked whether safe access to the victims, disconnected the negative terminal from the battery to avoid an explosion, fenced the scene cones with reflective paint, illuminated the scene with a generator, which is equipped with your car, and began to provide emergency medical care.
Testing practical scenario "Help with cardiac arrest using an automatic external defibrillator training."
During cardiopulmonary resuscitation training, the cadets provided cardiac arrest assistance using an external external automatic defibrillator, as well as cardiopulmonary resuscitation on a Ressusci Anne dummy with a Skill Reporter unit to connect to a notebook with quality control software. conducted resuscitation. The efficiency of cardiopulmonary resuscitation performed by cadets was 98%.
Classes at the Rescue Training Center help to develop the automatism of practical skills in providing home care, which is important in stressful situations and lack of time. At the same time, the ability to communicate with other participants, to combine skills of independent and team work in an emergency situation is developed.
