October 21, Mykola Ilchenko, Deputy Head of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, is on a working visit to Luhansk Region. He awarded firefighters who took part in the elimination of large-scale fires in the region during September 30 - October 8. The Deputy Head of the State Emergency Service thanked the soldiers for their hard work, presented them with awards and special ranks.
After the award ceremony, Mykola Ilchenko chaired the Board based on the results of the work of structural and subordinate units of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Luhansk region for 9 months of 2020.
During the meeting, the state of readiness of the units of the Main Department to ensure man-made and fire safety and rapid response to fires and other dangerous events during the next local elections on October 25, 2020 was considered.
They also focused on the readiness of the SES units of Luhansk region for the heating season 2020/2021, and focused on the causes and consequences of large-scale forest fires that have recently raged in Luhansk region.
Finally, the participants of the Board identified the problematic issues and outlined the priorities for the next period.
