Operative Information as of June 23, 2019

During the recent 24hrs, as preventive measures, minimization of other emergency consequences, fire-fighting and cleaning areas from the old munitions, 1477 interventions have been made by the emergency response units of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

As the result of the undertaken measures there were 9 persons rescued, 74 buildings and 10 vehicles saved.

Harsh Weather Conditions in Some Oblasts

During the night of June 22-23, harsh weather conditions (strong winds, rains, thunder) and triggered power line protection resulted in loss of power to 65 towns in 2 oblasts, and namely: 12 towns in Vinnytsia oblast and 53 towns in Zhytomyr oblast.

Local oblast energy facility teams have been engaged to restore power supply.

 

Vinnytsia Oblast

Rooftops of 11 living houses, two private household facilities were damaged and 2 trees fell down as a result of harsh weather conditions (strong wind) in Maidan village of Vinnytsia district on June 22. There were neither victims nor injured reported. There were 5 personnel and a vehicle from the SES engaged to remove the fallen trees.

Local authorities have been taking measures to remove the consequences of harsh weather.

 

Uncategorized Emergencies

Lviv oblast

14 persons including 6 children who ate in “Ozon” restaurant in Kamianka-Buzka Town on June 14, still remain in Kamianka-Buzka district central hospital with a preliminary diagnosis of toxic infection.

 

Luhansk Oblast

25 persons including 22 children who were resting on the “Malibu” beach and swimming in Pisochne lake in Rubizhne town during June 15-17, still remain in Rubizhne district hospital with preliminary diagnosis of acute gastroenterocolitis.

 

Flooding in Some oblasts of Ukraine

Kherson oblast

As of 07.00hrs of June 23, 30 households(at the beginning there were 252) are still flooded in Nova Maiachka village of Oleshky district. The water level is gradually decreasing.

There were 18 persons and 7 vehicles including 12 persons and 5 vehicles from the SES of Ukraine engaged in water pumping operation. During the day 11 400 cubic meters of water (overall since the beginning of works – 128 580 cubic meters) were pumped out.

 

Lviv oblast

During June 22, following intensive precipitations, there were 72 households (including a living house) flooded in Krynytsia village of Mykolaiv district.

As of 07.00hrs June 23, 52 households (no living houses flooded) remain flooded. The water level is gradually decreasing. Evacuation is not required. SES units were not engaged.

Kharkiv Oblast

A fire took place in the wheat field (total area 42 hectares) of Agrosvit LLC. in Piatyhorsk village of Balakliya district at 12.45hrs June 22. The SES units extinguished the fire in the area of 15 hectares at 15.06hrs. There were neither victims nor injured reported. The cause of fire is under investigation. Operational group from the Main Department of SES in Kharkiv oblast worked in the site.

Levels of Radiation in the City of Kyiv and Kyiv Oblast

The radiation levels are stable. They do not exceed the norms in the ground and in the water.

 

Events related to the electoral process

There was no information about emergencies, fires and hazardous events related to parliamentary elections.
