During the recent 24hrs, as preventive measures, minimization of other emergency consequences, fire-fighting and cleaning areas from the old munitions, 1877 interventions have been made by the emergency response units of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

As the result of the undertaken measures there were 7 persons rescued, 48 buildings and 9 vehicles saved.

Fire Situation

Kyiv Oblast

A fire took place in the territory of a transport facility in Dimer Town of Vyshhorod district at 02.40hrs June 15. The fire destroyed 10 “Bohdan” buses. The SES units extinguished fire at 03.52hrs. There were neither victims nor injured reported. The cause of fire is under consideration.

 

Uncategorized Event

At 20.56hrs June 14, the SES received information about a sudden discharge of coal and gas in the depth of 1146 m in the section 42 in “Tsentralna” mine that belongs to SE “Toretsvuhillia”. There were 2 miners working in the section at that moment. One person got rescued. The body of another person (born in 1983) was found at 03.15hrs June 15. The total number of miners working in the mine was 119 persons. The mine operation has been suspended. Miners were taken up the ground. Four mine rescue units have been engaged from the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry.

 

Flooding in Kherson Oblast of Ukraine

On June 13, heavy rains resulted in flooding of 252 households including 69 living houses in the village of Nova Maiachka of Oleshky district.

As of 07.00hrs of June 15, 252 households including 59 living houses are still flooded. The water level gradually drops down.

There were 79 persons and 17 vehicles including 19 persons and 10 vehicles from the SES of Ukraine engaged in water pumping operation. During the day 11 100 cubic meters (overall since the beginning of works – 56 400 cubic meters) of water were pumped out.

Installation of a temporary metal pipe line (diameter 150mm) for 3,5 kilometers has been continued to ensure removal of the pumped water out from village.

Levels of Radiation in the City of Kyiv and Kyiv Oblast

The radiation levels are stable. They do not exceed the norms in the ground and in the water.
