During the recent 24hrs, as preventive measures, minimization of other emergency consequences, fire-fighting and cleaning areas from the old munitions, 2106 interventions have been made by the emergency response units of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

As the result of the undertaken measures there were 9 persons rescued, 44 buildings and 7 vehicles saved.

Flooding in Kherson Oblast of Ukraine

On June 13, due to heavy rains there was the second water level rise (0.2 – 0.5 m) in the village of Nova Maiachka of Oleshky district that resulted to flooding of 69 living houses, 252 household buildings and 126 farmlands.

As of 07.00hrs of June 14, 59 living houses, 240 household buildings and 126 farmlands are still flooded.

70 persons and 17 vehicles, including 19 personnel and 10 vehicles from the SES of Ukraine, 36 personnel and 2 vehicles from the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 5 persons and 2 pump stations from the regional water management, 10 persons and 3 vehicles from the local population have been engaged to pump out the water. During the day 12 000 cubic meters (overall since the beginning of works – 45 300 cubic meters) of water have been pumped out.

Additionally, a temporary metal pipe line (diameter 150mm) is being installed at a distance over 3.5 km out of the village for pumped water removal.

Levels of Radiation in the City of Kyiv and Kyiv Oblast

The radiation levels are stable. They do not exceed the norms in the ground and in the water.
