Operative Information as of June 7, 2019

During the recent 24hrs, as preventive measures, minimization of other emergency consequences, fire-fighting and cleaning areas from the old munitions, 1756 interventions have been made by the emergency response units of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

As the result of the undertaken measures there were 3 persons rescued, 54 buildings and 6 vehicles saved.

Harsh Weather Conditions in Some Oblasts of Ukraine

During the night of June 6 – 7, as a result of harsh weather conditions (wind gusts, rain and thunderstorm) and because of automatic electricity protection systems, there were 68 towns in 5 oblasts left without electricity supply, namely: Kyiv oblast – 37 towns, Zhytomyr oblast – 24 towns, Dnipropetrovsk oblast – 3 towns, Kherson oblast – 3 towns and Kirovohrad oblast – 1 town.

Local electricity supply repair teams have been engaged to restoring works.

Flooding in Some Oblasts of Ukraine

Kirovohrad Oblast

On June 5, as a result of heavy rains there were 20 living houses and 48 backyards flooded in Haivoron Town.

As of 07.00hrs, 2 living houses and 7 households are still flooded. 12 personnel, 2 motor pumps and 2 vehicles from the SES of Ukraine have been engaged to the works.

Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast

On June 6, as a result of heavy rains there were 39 living houses and 170 households flooded in 15 settlements in the territory of Kosiv, Kolomyia, Sniatyn, Horodenka and Tlumach districts. A living house and bridge across the stream Ozirnyi have been partially destroyed in the village of Pistyn of Kosiv district. A landslide to the state road H-18 Ivano-Frankivsk – Ternopil (traffic movement has been ensured) took place in the village of Dibrova of Tlumach district.

As of 07.00hrs, 16 living houses in Kolomyia district and 117 households in six settlements in the territory of Kosiv, Sniatyn and Horodenka districts are still flooded. Traffic movement to all settlements of the oblast has been ensured. 45 persons and 16 vehicles, including 40 personnel, 11 motor pumps and 13 vehicles from the SES of Ukraine have been engaged to the works on pumping out the water. Rains are not being observed. The water level is gradually decreasing.

Kherson Oblast

On June 6, as a result of heavy rains, there were 150 households flooded in the village of Nova Maiachka of Oleshky district.

As of 07.00hrs, the living houses are not flooded, 105 households are still flooded. 25 persons and 7 vehicles, including 6 personnel and 2 vehicles from the SES of Ukraine have been engaged to the works on pumping out the water. Rains are not being observed. The water level is gradually decreasing.

Poltava oblast

A fire of flange of reservoir (volume – 1000 cubic meters) took place in the territory of inoperative petroleum depot of LLC “Naftolux” in the village of Pokrovske of Reshetylivka district. The fire has been extinguished at 19.20hrs. There were neither victims nor injured reported. 11 persons and 2 vehicles, including 5 personnel and a vehicle from the SES of Ukraine have been engaged to fire extinguishing.

Kyiv Oblast

As a result of lightning a fire of the dome of Holy Trinity Church (Russian Orthodox Church, an architectural monument) took place in Bohuslav Town at 00.59hrs, June 7. The fire has been extinguished on the area of 144 sq. m. at 06.00hrs. There were neither victims nor injured reported. 20 persons and 6 vehicles, including 18 personnel and 4 vehicles from the SES of Ukraine have been engaged to fire extinguishing.

Levels of Radiation in the City of Kyiv and Kyiv Oblast
