Operative Information as on September, 23, 2017

For the past 24hrs, as preventive measures, minimization of other emergency consequences, fire-fighting and cleaning areas from the old munitions, 2445 interventions have been made by the emergency response units of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

As the result of the undertaken measures there was 14 persons rescued, 116 buildings and 9 vehicles were saved.

Donetsk Oblast

SES of Ukraine received information about the fire with subsequent detonation of ammunition on the territory of the temporary storage of ammunition of the Ministry of Defense located near Novoyanysol Nikolsk district at 1540hrs, September 22. The units of SES extinguished the fire at 0547hrs, September 23.

To eliminate the consequences of emergencies engaged 61 vehicles and 270 personnel, among them from the SES 20 vehicles and 116 personnel, National police 20 vehicles and 90 personnel, Ministry of defense 3 vehicles and 30 personnel, National Guard and local authorities 10 vehicles and 40 personnel, Ministry of Health 8 vehicles and 24 personnel.

The emergency response headquarters headed by the Deputy Head of the Donetsk Military and Civil Administration Remskii V.V. operates on the site, and the operational group of the SES of Ukraine, headed by acting director Head of the SES in the Donetsk Oblast Migrin O.S.

Electricity Losses in some towns of Ukraine

September 22 as a result of harsh weather conditions (rain, thunderstorm, wind gusts), and because of automatic electricity protection systems, there were 101 towns in 8 oblasts left without electricity supply, namely: Donetsk Oblast – 30 towns, Kyiv Oblast – 30 towns, Poltava Oblast – 20 towns, Vinnytsya Oblast – 14 towns, Odessa Oblast – 14 towns, Zaporizhya Oblast – 13 towns, Cherkasy Oblast- 8 towns and Dnipropetrovsk oblast – 2 towns.

In order to restore electricity supply there were engaged repair teams of Ukrenergo to repair works.

Kharkiv Oblast

A fire on an area of about 70 hectares took place near Natalino village of Krasnograd district on September 22 at 1235hrs, on the territory of Krasnograd forestry.

As of 0700hrs, September 23, there were no open fire observed, pollination of certain centers of corruption is carried out.

To the firefighting engaged 33 vehicles and 225 personnel, among them from the SES 28 vehicles and 200 personnel, including the AN-32P plane and MI-8 helicopter of SES of Ukraine.

Coordination of fire suppression measures is carried out by a task force led by the head of the Main Department of SES in Kharkiv Oblast Volobuyev O.V.

Dnipropetrovsk Oblast

A fire on a total area 120 hectares took place on the territory of the military test ground MU A1363 near Gvardiysk village of Novomoskovsk district, at 1130hrs, September 22.

As of 0700hrs, September 23, there were no open fire observed, pollination of certain centers of corruption is carried out.

To the firefighting engaged 32 vehicles and 271 personnel, among them from the SES 16 vehicles and 90 personnel, including two AN-32P planes and MI-8 helicopter of SES of Ukraine.

Coordination of fire suppression measures is carried out by a task force led by the head of the Main Department of SES in Kharkiv Oblast Kulbach A.A.

Levels of Radiation in the City of Kyiv and Kyiv Oblast
