Operative Information as of June 24, 2020

During the recent 24hrs, as preventive measures, minimization of other emergency consequences, fire-fighting and cleaning areas from the old munitions,
1859 interventions have been made by the emergency response units of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

As the result of the undertaken measures there were 50 persons rescued, 40 buildings and 3 vehicles saved.

 

Harsh Weather Conditions in Some Oblasts of Ukraine

As of 07.00hrs. June 24, as a result of harsh weather conditions (rain and wind gusts) and because of automatic electricity protection systems, there are 120 towns in 6 oblasts left without electricity supply, namely: Ivano-Frankivsk oblast – 62, Sumy oblast – 17, Zhytomyr oblast – 16 towns, Chernivtsi oblast – 13 towns, Volyn oblast – 9 and Zakarpattia oblast – 3 towns. Local electricity supply repair teams have been engaged to restoration works.

On June 22-23, in the territory of 4 oblasts (Ivano-Frankivsk, Chernivtsi, Lviv, Zakarpattia) heavy rains led to a complication of the flood situation.

3 persons died on the territory of oblasts (Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast). Totally there were flooded 197 settlements (Ivano-Frankivsk - 165, Chernivtsi - 18, Lviv - 8, Zakarpattia - 3), 5 thousand 191 houses (Ivano-Frankivsk - 4656, Chernivtsi - 425, Lviv - 110), 6 medical and obstetric points in the Ivano-Frankivsk oblast; 3,370 basements were flooded (Ivano-Frankivsk - 3002, Chernivtsi - 258, Lviv - 110), 9,644 homesteads (Ivano-Frankivsk - 8873, Chernivtsi - 533, Lviv - 168, Zakarpattia - 70), 3 thousand 286 wells (Ivano-Frankivsk - 3 thousand 136 and Lviv - 150); 110 km of roads, 1,850 m of shore fortifications and 90 bridges in Ivano-Frankivsk region, 30 meters of dam № 5 in Chernivtsi oblast were destroyed; 429.7 km of roads and 130 bridges were damaged (Ivano-Frankivsk - 427 km of roads and 130 bridges, Lviv - 2.3 km of roads, Chernivtsi - 380 m and 4 bridges), 280 m of dams (№ 15b - 150 m; № 21A - 60 m; №5 - 70 m) in Chernivtsi region; transport connections with 34 settlements were disrupted (Ivano-Frankivsk - 21, Chernivtsi - 6, Zakarpattia - 5, Lviv - 2).

As of 0700hrs, June 24, 187 settlements remain flooded (Ivano-Frankivsk - 161, Chernivtsi - 15, Lviv - 8); - 4 thousand 976 houses (Ivano-Frankivsk - 4444, Chernivtsi - 422, Lviv - 110); 5 medical and obstetric points in Ivano-Frankivsk region; flooded 3 thousand 302 basements (Ivano-Frankivsk - 2935, Chernivtsi - 257, Lviv - 110), 9 thousand 389 homesteads (Ivano-Frankivsk - 8688, Chernivtsi - 533, Lviv - 168), 3 thousand 286 wells Ivano-Frankivsk - 3 thousand 136 and Lviv - 150); transport connections with 8 settlements were disrupted (Chernivtsi - 6, Lviv - 2).

389 people were evacuated, including 76 children (Ivano-Frankivsk - 285, Chernivtsi - 101, 27 of them children, Lviv oblast - 3); 124 people were transported through flooded sections of roads, including 2 children (Lviv Oblast); 386 people were temporarily relocated, including 76 children (Ivano-Frankivsk - 285, Chernivtsi - 101, including 27 children).

A total of 1,412 people were involved in the elimination of the consequences of the weather. and 333 units. equipment, of which from the SES 642 people. o / s and 141 units. equipment.

1412 persons and 333 vehicles were engaged to elimination the consequences, among them 642 persons and 141 vehicles from SESU.

Kyiv city

On June 21 at about 10.00hrs. there was an explosion of a pre-gas-air mixture without subsequent combustion, as a result of which 5 people died and 5 people were injured in Darnytskyi district on the Solomiya Krushelnytska street, 1/5 in a ten-storey residential building. The blast destroyed the fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth floors. SES units evacuated 23 persons and rescued 3 people.
An emergency response Operational team  and a mobile SES task force are working on site.

On June 23, the units of SES finished the search and rescue works. Further works will plan and conduct the Kyiv city state administration.

Levels of Radiation in the City of Kyiv and Kyiv Oblast

The radiation levels are stable. They do not exceed the norms in the ground and in the water.
