Operative Information as of June 21, 2020

During the recent 24hrs, as preventive measures, minimization of other emergency consequences, fire-fighting and cleaning areas from the old munitions,
1105 interventions have been made by the emergency response units of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

As the result of the undertaken measures there were 5 persons rescued, 39 buildings and 12 vehicles saved.

 

Confirmed COVID-19 cases in Ukraine

According to information from the Ministry of health of Ukraine, as of 10.00hrs June 21, the total number of COVID-19 cases registered in Ukraine is 36560 and 1002 persons died, namely: Kyiv city – 4325 (98 persons died), Chernivtsi oblast – 4324 (171 persons died), Lviv oblast – 3780 (114 persons died), Rivne oblast – 2872 (57 persons died), Kyiv oblast – 2208 (46 persons died), Zakarpattia oblast – 2149 (54 persons died), Ivano-Frankivsk oblast – 2015 (96 persons died), Kharkiv oblast – 1805 (69 persons died), Volyn oblast – 1782 (52 persons died), Ternopil oblast – 1688 (27 persons died), Vinnytsia oblast – 1647 (28 persons died), Odesa oblast – 1266 (19 persons died), Zhytomyr oblast – 1257 (21 persons died), Dnipropetrovsk oblast – 1042 (21 persons died), Khmelnytskyi oblast – 622 (14 persons died), Kirovohrad oblast – 620 (30 persons died), Cherkasy oblast – 603 (21 persons died), Zaporizhia oblast – 554 (16 persons died), Chernihiv oblast – 475 (10 persons died), Donetsk oblast – 362 (8 persons died), Mykolaiv Oblast – 358 (7 persons died), Poltava oblast – 291 (13 persons died), Sumy oblast – 257 (5 persons died), Kherson oblast – 186 (3 persons died), and Luhansk oblast – 72.

 

16509 persons were discharged after treatment (Chernivtsi oblast – 1563, Rivne oblast – 1505, Kyiv city – 1391, Ivano-Frankivsk oblast – 1071, Kyiv oblast – 1065, Ternopil oblast – 1063, Vinnytsia oblast – 1001, Kharkiv oblast – 854, Zakarpattia oblast – 842, Dnipropetrovsk oblast – 776, Lviv oblast – 668, Zhytomyr oblast – 633, Odesa oblast – 551, Volyn oblast – 548, Kirovohrad oblast – 508, Khmelnytskyi oblast – 492, Cherkasy oblast – 393, Zaporizhia oblast – 391, Mykolaiv oblast – 265, Poltava oblast – 262, Sumy oblast – 182, Kherson oblast – 175, Donetsk oblast – 145, Chernihiv oblast – 112, and Luhansk oblast – 53).

Harsh Weather Conditions in Some Oblasts of Ukraine

As of 07.00hrs June 21, as a result of harsh weather conditions (rain and wind gusts) and due to automatic electricity protection systems, there are 89 towns in 5 oblasts left without electricity supply, namely: 30 towns in Zhytomyr oblast, 27 towns in Volyn oblast, 18 towns in Chermihiv oblast, 7 towns in Chernivtsi oblast, and 7 towns in Sumy oblast. Local electricity repair teams have been engaged in repair works.

During June 20, as a result of harsh weather conditions in five oblasts (Ternopil, Volyn, Ivano-Frankivsk, Odesa, and Chernivtsi) there was sediment accumulation observed in 10 private households, 23 basements, 11 households, 13 wells and a garage were flooded, roofs of two houses were partially damaged. Two landslides took place in Ivano-Frankivsk oblast (local roads close to Hryniava-Holoshyno and Kokhan-Perekhresne villages). There were neither victims nor injured reported. The SES units removed 1613 cubic meters of watrer. There were 39 persons and 14 vehicles engaged including 32 persons and 10 vehicles that were engaged from the SES.

Levels of Radiation in the City of Kyiv and Kyiv Oblast

The radiation levels are stable. They do not exceed the norms in the ground and in the water.
