Operative Information as of June 18, 2020

During the recent 24hrs, as preventive measures, minimization of other emergency consequences, fire-fighting and cleaning areas from the old munitions,
1866 interventions have been made by the emergency response units of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

As the result of the undertaken measures there were 4 persons rescued, 47 buildings and 7 vehicles saved.

Confirmed COVID-19 cases in Ukraine

According to information from the Ministry of health of Ukraine, as of 10.00hrs June 18, the total number of COVID-19 cases registered in Ukraine is 34063 and 966 persons died, namely: Chernivtsi oblast – 4135 (170 persons died), Kyiv city – 4084 (95 persons died), Lviv oblast – 3398 (107 persons died), Rivne oblast – 2572 (51 persons died), Kyiv oblast – 2119 (43 persons died), Ivano-Frankivsk oblast – 1893 (92 persons died), Zakarpattia oblast – 1882 (51 persons died), Kharkiv oblast – 1707 (66 persons died), Volyn oblast – 1610 (50 persons died), Vinnytsia oblast – 1563 (24 persons died),Ternopil oblast – 1542 (27 persons died), Odesa oblast – 1188 (19 persons died), Zhytomyr oblast – 1154 (21 persons died), Dnipropetrovsk oblast – 1021 (23 persons died), Kirovohrad oblast – 604 (30 persons died), Khmelnytskyi oblast – 587 (14 persons died), Cherkasy oblast – 568 (21 persons died), Zaporizhia oblast – 541 (16 persons died), Chernihiv oblast – 448 (10 persons died), Donetsk oblast – 349 (8 persons died), Mykolaiv Oblast – 323 (7 persons died), Poltava oblast – 287 (13 persons died), Sumy oblast – 236 (5 persons died), Kherson oblast – 184 (3 persons died), and Luhansk oblast – 68.

15447 persons were discharged after treatment (Chernivtsi oblast – 1415, Rivne oblast – 1379, Kyiv city – 1286, Ivano-Frankivsk oblast – 1059, Ternopil oblast – 1036, Vinnytsia oblast – 954, Kyiv oblast – 941, Kharkiv oblast – 786, Zakarpattia oblast – 772, Dnipropetrovsk oblast – 739, Lviv oblast – 661, Zhytomyr oblast – 583, Volyn oblast – 526, Kirovohrad oblast – 497, Odesa oblast – 481, Khmelnytskyi oblast – 460, Zaporizhia oblast – 375, Cherkasy oblast – 374, Poltava oblast – 260, Mykolaiv oblast – 219, Kherson oblast – 174, Sumy oblast – 169, Donetsk oblast – 140, Chernihiv oblast – 112, and Luhansk oblast – 49).

Odesa oblast

Two persons died as a result of a light motor Delfin airplane crash during a training flight in 14 Aeroportivsk str. Odesa city (nearby Odesa International Airport) at around 12.15hrs June 17. The SES units performed de-blocking and drained the fuel. There were 20 personnel and 3 vehicles engaged from the SES.

 

Harsh Weather Conditions in Some Oblasts of Ukraine

As of 07.00hrs June 18, as a result of harsh weather conditions (rain and wind gusts) and due to automatic electricity protection systems, there are 69 towns in 3 oblasts left without electricity supply, namely: 34 towns in Chernihiv oblast, 27 towns in Zhytomyr oblast, and 8 towns in Kyiv oblast. Local electricity repair teams have been engaged in repair works.

During June 17 as a result of harsh weather conditions in three oblasts (Vinnitsia, Odesa, Rivne) there were roofs of 21 buildings damaged (as well as village council building), two trees fell down, 5 living houses have been flooded together with 18 households and 5 wells. About 300 meters of road has been damaged. The SES units removed the fallen trees, pumped 628 cubic meters of water. There were 19 personnel and 5 vehicles engaged from the SES.

Levels of Radiation in the City of Kyiv and Kyiv Oblast

The radiation levels are stable. They do not exceed the norms in the ground and in the water.
