On May 22, the XXXI International Fire and Sport Competition in memory of firemen - heroes of Chornobyl began in Ivano-Frankivsk. This day, 14 teams of participants determined the best in the first type of competition - climbing up the assault ladder in the window of the 4th floor of the training tower.
Thus, in a tense final fight, with a result of 13.30 seconds, an undisputed victory was won by an athlete from the Republic of Belarus Nikita Ukolov, Alexander Andriychuk from Ukraine was second, and the third place also was won by Belarusian athlete Dmitry Simak.
Already today, on May 23,, a grand opening ceremony will take place, as well as women's semi-finals and final races on the climbing up on the assault ladder among girls and overcoming the 100-meter strip with obstacles.
We recall, that competitions in which athletes from Belarus, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Moldova, Poland, Slovakia, Turkey, Croatia and Ukraine are taking part, will be held until May 25.
