On May 14, the next series of trainings for rescue units of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine on work with special emergency rescue vehicles of light type (SARM-L) started in Rivne oblast. These vehicles will be used by rescuers in an accident, when it is necessary to release the victims from destroyed car.
Week’s training will be held at a special training area of Emergency Rescue Unit of special purpose of the regional department of the SESU in the framework of the project “Support to Ukraine in Emergency Management”, that realized by German Society for International Cooperation GIZ on behalf of German Government.
52 Ukrainian rescuers from Rivne, Volyn, Lviv, Zakarpattia, Zhytomyr oblasts and Kyiv City, as well as 5 observers of educational institutions of civil protection system and training center of Operational Rescue Service of civil protection of the SES of Ukraine are taking part in the trainings.
The participants will work out the different scenarios for providing assistance to the victims in the event of an accident and deformation of cars. Final goal of the trainings is the practical rescue of a person from damaged vehicle in the shortest time.
A similar training for the representatives from Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhia, Odesa, Chernihiv oblasts and Kyiv City was held in April, 2018.
