Pyrotechnic units of the SES of Ukraine carry out daily inspections of the territory of the country, the detection, removal and destruction of explosive objects, both during the past wars and modern ammunition. Only in the first two days of the new year, the SESU units seized and destroyed 98 explosive devices.

In particular, on January 2, specialists of the group of pyrotechnic works of the Emergency and Rescue Detachment of the Special Assignment of the Directorate of the SES of Ukraine in the Chernihiv region destroyed an artillery shell with a caliber of 152 mm from the time of the Second World War through a controlled subversion. An explosive object was discovered on the eve of the local residents in the open area near the village Rubanov of Talalayevsky district.

In addition, humanitarian demining of the liberated territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions continues.

For example, in Luhansk region, during January 1-2, the pyrotechnic units of the SES of Ukraine surveyed 0.7 ha of the territory of the oblast, where 32 explosive objects were detected and seized.

At the same time, the pyrotechnic units in the Donetsk region surveyed 2.71 hectares of territory, where 62 explosive objects were discovered and seized.

Therefore, in order to prevent accidents among the population in the event of the detection of explosive objects, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine for again appeals to citizens to adhere to the rules of safe handling of explosive or unknown objects!

Categorically prohibited:
  • touch a suspicious object or move it;
  • fill it with liquids, fill it with soil or cover it with something;
  • to carry out on a suspicious object sound, light, thermal or mechanical influence;
  • try to self-destruct the discovery;
  • to disassemble an explosive object.

Remember that in the case of detecting explosive objects, you must immediately report this to the number "101" or "102", and in no case try to identify and dispose of the found ammunition on its own.
