Rescuers of the Chernihiv Oblast received help from the German government
On October 12, at 09:00 p.m. the transfer of modern equipment for rescuers of the SES of Ukraine from the Government of Germany took place on the facade of the Ichnya District Department of the Department of the SES of Ukraine in Chernihiv Oblast. Director of the Emergency Response Department of the SESU Volodymyr Demchuk, Head of the project "Support to Ukraine in Emergency Management" Christian Poshman, and Head of the Department of State Social Services of Ukraine in Chernihiv Oblast Roman Gordovy took part in the event.
Student of Cherkasy Institute of Fire Safety named after Chornobyl Heroes has got a gold medal at the 3rd Summer Youth Olympic Games
From the 6th to the 18th of October, the 3rd Summer Youth Olympic Games is taking place in Buenos Aires City of Argentina. The Ukrainian national team at the competition is represented by 55 athletes in 22 sports. Among them - the first-year student of Cherkasy Institute of Fire Safety named after Chornobyl Heroes Ivan Tyshchenko, who on October 10 with a brilliant result has got a gold medal in boat racing. In the final race among male singles Ivan did not leave any chance to the opponents from Australia, Belarus, Peru, and finished first.
Transcarpathian rescuers received from Polish colleagues new equipment for rescuing people
In the framework of cross-border cooperation, Transcarpathian rescuers, together with Polish colleagues, are implementing the next stage of the joint project "Improvement of the system of rescue on the roads and crisis management in the Transcarpathian region - Ukraine". According to the project conditions, rescuers from the Khust district received two sets of hydraulic equipment from the company "Weber" from foreign colleagues. They will be used to eliminate the consequences of road accidents and save people.

In the period from September 17 to 21, the Chief of Chemical and Radiometric Laboratory of Technical Service Unit of the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Lviv Oblast Volodymyr Kuts took part in NATO International Training for National Instructors of CBRN Incident Response (CBRN: chemical, bacteriological, radiological, nuclear pollution) at the Academy of Crisis Management, Emergency Planning and Civil Protection in Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler City, Germany.
Ecological aspect of the reintegration of the occupied territories of Donetsk and Lugansk regions
Donbas is one of the world’s largest coal mining technologically saturated regions, where the state of the environment has always caused serious concern among experts. Military aggression, economic crisis and ignoring of ecological risks by the “authorities” of the occupied territories in the near future can lead to catastrophic consequences.
The Ukrainian side for more than four years has no access to the territory seized by the militants, which does not allow to fully assess the damage done to the environment and take appropriate measures to respond to existing threats.
