Rescuers teaching new skills in helping victims of road accidents
In Kiev, begun another series of trainings for rescue units of the SES of Ukraine on the work with special light-duty emergency-rescue cars (SARM-L), which will be used by rescuers in an accident, when it is necessary to release the victims of the destroyed car.
The training takes place within the framework of the project "Support to Ukraine in the management of emergencies", carried out by the German Society for International Cooperation GIZ on behalf of the German Government.

Odesa oblast: кescuers received fire and rescue equipment from Canadian colleagues
During the period from April 12 to 20, 2018 year, a delegation from the charity organization GlobalFire David Mc Antony Gibson Foundation Canada, a volunteer and project manager of the Odesa region Jim Howell visited the Main Department of the SES of Ukrainein Odesa Oblast, within the framework of international cooperation.

Rescuers of Chernivtsi oblast received a fire truck from Polish colleagues
On April 15, in the framework of international cooperation Polish fire fighters of Gmina Czernichów delivered a fire truck “Jeltz” to the residents of Arshytsia village of Nyzhni Petrivtsi Town of Storozhynets District. This special vehicle and equipment will provide the fire protection of the village and will allow to respond on fires and to help people in time.
The representative of the SES of Ukraine took part in the second board meeting of Ukrainian Association of Representatives of Law Enforcement Bodies
During the second board meeting of Ukrainian Association of Representatives of Law Enforcement Bodies that was held on April 13, the key event was the training “Fundamentals of Administration and Management” of independent expert Liubov Palyvoda. During the event the Association members received the basic information about civil society, the role of organizations in its formation and development, discussed the functions of administration and management of civil society organizations, as well as the vision, mission, program directions and activities of the Association; determined the further steps of its formation.
Representatives from Republic of Poland shared their experience in volunteer rescuers movement in Donetsk region
At present, in Ukraine, with the reform of the system of local self-government and decentralization of state authority as well other reforms related to these processes are being implemented, such as medical reform, educational reform, etc. Creation of modern security centers on the basis of consolidated territorial communities is one of the directions that is being implemented in communities. Recently, Poland has been actively engaged in activities aimed at supporting the process of creation of voluntary fire protection service in Ukraine.
During the recent week the units from the SES of Ukraine rescued 107 persons and extinguished 933 fires
During the recent week (from March 26 to April 2) the units of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine performed interventions to prevent emergencies, ensured rapid response to accidents and consequence relief, fire-fighting, and other rescue activities.
Since the beginning of the week there were 1 335 emergency events reported that were responded to by the SES units with intervention to the sites. As a result of these interventions, there were 107 persons saved.
500 young scientists from Europe and Ukraine discussed civil protection issues
During March 28-29, the International Scientific and Practical Conference of Young Scientists "Problems and Prospects for Civil Protection" was held at the National University of Civil Protection of Ukraine. Nearly 500 young scientists from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bulgaria, Poland, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Germany and higher educational institutions of many regions of Ukraine participated in the forum.
